The real-life Georgia home where much of Season 4’s sinister storyline takes place is now up for sale with a $1.5 million list price. Located on East Second Avenue in Rome, Ga., the Victorian-style home was built in 1882 and features seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The iconic “Creel House” served as the childhood home for Vecna (played by Jamie Campbell Bower), who grew up in the house as Henry Creel before he murdered his family. In Chapter 9 of Season 4, the Stranger Things kids try to stop Vecna’s evil antics by traveling to the Upside Down version of the home. The 6,000-square-foot property—which underwent a dramatic makeover to make it extra creepy for the show’s latest season—still contains many familiar features from the supernatural series, according to the listing details from real estate company Toles, Temple & Wright Inc. “You will recognize much of what has been prominently featured in the show’s fourth season, including the majestic formal dining room where telekinesis is no longer practiced during meals; an adjoining parlor, perfect for playing Dungeons and Dragons; and a living room ideal for hosting meetings of the Hellfire Club,” the listing reads. The house also features a renovated kitchen with a 15-foot black marble island, a walk-in pantry, and a butler’s pantry. The property also includes an attic, which is described as “an unfinished third floor.” “Not to worry, the previous resident of the third floor has since been relocated by a single exterminator - we think,” the listing adds. There is also an antique wall safe, a cast iron urinal, and a “Gothic-style” guest house on the property. To make it even better, the listing notes a “fun fact” about the house, which is “located less than five miles from the Ford Buildings at Berry College, which provided the backdrop for the series’ Pennhurst Mental Hospital.” The home is described as having an “unparalleled provenance and pop culture pedigree translate to a one-of-a-kind opportunity that won’t last long,” so potential buyers should start running up that hill fast if they want to make an offer.
