“All jurisdictions have reported in, and no one has hit the Mega Millions jackpot. So, the jackpot will roll to $1,025,000,000 for Friday ($602.5 million cash),” lottery spokesperson Marie Kilbane told CNN. Yes, you read that number right. For the third time ever recorded, the Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to a little over $1 billion. So even after the price of the $2 lottery ticket is deducted, no to mention taxes and fees, the next Mega Millions jackpot winner could walk away with over $600 million in cash.  And as the jackpot grows, so does the number of winning tickets at all other prize levels. For the July 26 drawing alone, there were a total of 6,775,330, winning tickets at all prize levels. The winning numbers were: 7, 29, 60, 63, 66, plus the Mega Ball 15. Nine tickets matched the five white balls to win the Mega Millions second prize. Two were sold in Ohio (one of which is worth $3 million because it included the optional Megaplier—a $1 extra purchase available in most states) two were sold in New York and New Jersey (all of which were worth $1 million each), plus one lucky million-dollar-winner in each of these states: California, Florida, and Illinois.  There were also hundreds of winners that took home the game’s third prize across 17 states—36 of the winning tickets are worth $30,000 each because they also included the optional Megaplier. The other 120 third-prize ticket-holders took home $10,000 each, according to the Mega Millions site.  Four Mega Millions jackpots have been won so far this year; with Americans from all over the country having enjoyed a stroke of luck; including residents from: Tennessee, California, New York, and Minnesota (who hosted it’s first Mega Millions jackpot win back in April). Do you think you’re lucky enough to be the next Mega Millions jackpot winner?
