The erstwhile Keeping Up With the Kardashiansstar and the Blink-182 drummer announced the news on Sun., Oct. 17, 2021. TMZreported that Barker, 45, got down on one knee and popped the question to Kardashian, 42, on the beach in Montecito, Calif., accompanied by private photographers and an elaborate red rose and white floral arrangement in her honor, complete with candles—what a classic romantic! He later shared photos on his Instagram Stories of coordinating red flower petals on bed dressed in white linens. Kourtney and Barker confirmed the happy news on Instagram, captioning a series of photos from the romantic event with “Forever.” Her younger sister, Kim Kardashian, posted a sweet, slow-motion video of the pair kissing (and a close-up of her rock!), captioning it, “KRAVIS FOREVER.” This is Kourtney’s first engagement. She was previously in a long-term, on-again-off-again relationship with Scott Disick, with whom she shares sons Mason, 11, and Reign, 6, and daughter Penelope, 9. Barker was previously married to model and actress Shanna Moakler, with whom he starred in the reality series Meet the Barkers, in the mid-2000s. Barker shares daughter Alabama, 15, and son Landon, 17, with Moakler, as well as stepdaughter Atiana, 22. Landon celebrated the engagement with a photo of the happy pair in his Instagram Story, writing, “Congratulations @kourtneykardash and @travisbarker I’m so happy for you guys love you guys so much!” Alabama was just as overjoyed, writing, “So happy for you guys I love u both!” Kourtney and Barker were first linked in January 2021 and went Instagram official a month later. The couple were longtime friends before becoming romantic. Speculation that the pair made it official (and even may have tied the knot!) previously hit a fever pitch on July 13, 2021, after Kardashian’s hairstylist captioned a picture of the couple with, “…NOWWW I understand why people tie the knot in Vegas. There’s nothing like love AND a good time.” The caption also featured a chapel and diamond ring emojis; the caption was later edited. Alabama posted an Instagram Story of the couple at the time captioned, “So happy for you guys.” What’s more, over the July 4 weekend in 2021, Kardashian was spotted with bridal Mickey Mouse ears during a trip to Disneyland with Barker and some of their kids, sending the rumor mill even further into overdrive. Sources previously told E! Newsthat the Poosh founder and Blink-182 beatmaker were discussing a future together that may include putting a ring on it. One insider gushed, “They are head over heels and never experienced love like this. Kourtney is the happiest. Travis adores her and treats her so well. It’s very different than her other relationships and all positive.” A second source said, “Kourtney and Travis have talked about marriage. It was an instant connection and bond ever since they became romantically involved. They are in it for the long haul.” The second insider added, “Everyone in the family adores Travis and their families mesh seamlessly. Kourtney is so close with Travis’s kids now and vice versa. They have become a family unit together and it’s special.” Kourtney helped Barker make huge progress with his greatest fear: The rocker was terrified of flying after surviving a plane crash in 2008 that killed two pilots and two other passengers instantly. He took his first flight in 13 years to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with Kourtney this year. “It’s still something very new to me, but having something that gives me the strength and hope to be able to overcome things that were so traumatic in my life, it just says a ton,” he told Nylonof his first flight in over a decade. “She’s definitely that for me. I’m invincible when I’m with her. It’s like I never dreamed, I never even considered flying again.” He said the Cabo flight with Kourt was “the easiest thing ever.” They’ve since traveled to other far-off places, including Paris and Italy, and he says she keeps him grounded even when they’re flying mile-high. “She had just said to me, ‘I would love to do so much traveling with you. I want to go to Italy with you. I want to go to Cabo with you. I want to go to Paris with you. I want to go to Bora Bora with you.’ I said, ‘Well, when the day comes you want to fly, I’m telling you I’ll do it with you. I would do anything with you.
