The 37-year-old lives a hectic life with her successful career–whether that’s a Las Vegas Residency or appearing as a judge on American Idol–but that doesn’t stop her from keeping her number one focus on being a mom.  This past Monday, Perry appeared on the Smartless Podcast hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. During her interview, Perry revealed why she would never get a full-time nanny for the 2-year-old daughter, Daisy, whom she shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom. “I am working a lot and I’ve always worked a lot. I’m kind of a matriarchal figure,” she told the podcast.  “I have a wonderful nanny, but I don’t have a full-time nanny because I feel like if I had a full-time nanny then I would never be able to know how to care for my daughter like I’m meant to.” Perry continued: “And so, therefore, any day I get off, I’m just in mom mode.” “Doesn’t matter if I’ve had a show that goes to 11 p.m. the night before, I’m waking up at six o’clock and we’re going to go and do breakfast and yes, I have the no sleep shakes.” She later added that her daughter is constantly learning new words. “She’s 2, so she’s at that point where it’s like she’s saying new words every day," she noted. “And the other day she was just saying some words that I didn’t teach her and I was like, ‘D— it. That doesn’t feel good.’“Perry also spoke highly of her fiancé and Daisy’s father, “Dad is the best.” Perry and Bloom welcomed their baby girl back in August 2020. The actor also shares 11-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.  More Pop Culture:
