According to the Fox News, attorney Camille Vasquez has signed on to represent Kilcher, 32, who plays Angela Blue Thunder on the hit Paramount series. The actress was charged back in July with two felony counts of worker’s compensation. “We are determined to defend Ms. Kilcher in this important case which examines the inherent flaws in the disability compensation system,” Vasquez’s firm, Brown Rudnick LLP, shared in a statement. “Ms. Kilcher is a well-respected actress in Hollywood and we intend to clear her name.” The suit against Kilcher—filed by the California Department of Insurance—accuses the actress of collecting allegedly “undeserved” disability benefits while working on Yellowstone, despite claiming that she was too injured to work. In 2018, Kilcher reportedly injured her neck and shoulder as a result of an incident on the set of Dora and the Lost City of Gold. Although she saw a doctor “a few times that year,” she allegedly stopped treatment and “did not respond to the insurance company handling her claim on behalf of her employer,” according to the Department of Insurance. The claim also states that in October 2019, Kilcher contacted the insurance company and requested treatment, telling the doctor “that she had been offered work since her injury occurred but had been unable to accept it,” due to her severe neck pain. She then received over $90,000 in temporary disability benefits, according to the investigation, which found that she had worked on Yellowstone from July 2019 to October 2019 amid claims that she was too injured to work. Despite the claim against her, Kilcher can remain confident with Vasquez defending her, as the attorney recently helped Depp reach a nearly $11 million against Heard. After becoming a household name in the highly-publicized trial, Vasquez was offered a partner position at Brown Rudnick LLP, where she will work alongside Steve Cook. More Pop Culture:
