1932 follows the Dutton family during the Great Depression and Prohibition era in the U.S. The series is a follow-up to 1883, which served as the origin story of the Dutton clan and how they ended up in Montana. 1932 will feature the parents and grandparents of Yellowstone’s John Dutton character and is slated for a December 2022 release. This is Ford’s second television series announced in recent months. He is set to star in Apple TV’s Shrinking, a comedy series from How I Met Your Mother’s Jason Segel and Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence. Ford has starred in many iconic franchise films including Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan films, Clear and Present Danger and Patriot Games. Mirren has won multiple awards for her acting, including an Academy Award, a Tony and a Primetime Emmy— the trifecta of acting awards. She has starred in such films as The Madness of King George, Red and The Queen (for which she won an Academy Award). As the creator of Yellowstone, Sheridan has a multi-year development deal with Paramount to create content for their streaming service, Paramount+. He currently has nine shows in various stages of development or production for the streamer and most of them already have A-list talent attached to it. 1932 will stream exclusively on Paramount+.
